Trahan International was founded in 1996 by Mike Trahan, who worked more than 40 years in the field of mining as a labourer up to mine superintendent.

Following several years of operations, with sales only, Trahan International came to the evidence that the product without maintenance service provided by Trahan International was inadequate. At this point, a new approach was developed which offers a total service package that includes:

- A joint study between the departments of maintenance, operation and engineering with the participation of Trahan International, to determine which work equipment and in what areas would be most appropriate to be fitted with a NuCasel levelling rail
- The initial installation of the rail
- Maintenance service includes adjustments and changes of parts
- Trahan International maintains the inventory for the customer.
